The chief experience officer and president of Integrated Loyalty Systems, Jake Poore says 2021 should be an opportunity for healthcare providers to re-focus on the “care” aspect – both for patients and the hard-working employees who have ridden out the pandemic.
Poore, whose career includes 18 years at Disney, will highlight Day 2 of MGMA’s Medical Practice Excellence: Pathways Conference with a general session today at 1:15 pm ET.
“At the end of the day, as a physician leader or practice manager or an owner of these practices, if it’s meant to be, [inspiration] has to start with you,” he said on an episode of the MGMA Insights podcast. “So, what are you going to do differently? We need to start on the human. When we skip the human on the front end, or we skip the human on the backend, a lot of times that’s whittling away at a beautiful thing we call trust. When you start putting pen to paper and getting your team involved … you’ll be pleasantly surprised that that can have a powerful impact on your practice and the rest of your organization.”
