    Christopher K. Senkowski, MD, FACS, has over 20 years of experience in physician compensation, valuation and practice management. He currently serves as Professor of Surgery at Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine Florida International University and Program Director for the General Surgery Residency Program at Baptist Health South Florida in Miami, FL. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan and Harvard Medical School.

    Dr. Senkowski has over 25 years of experience in the areas of coding, valuation and reimbursement. He has served on the legislative committees for SAGES and SSO and has worked in the public policy space as an advisor to the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the RAND Group, and the CMS/Acumen MACRA project. 

    He has worked in industry as a consultant in the bundled payment and value based episodic grouper technology arena with Remedy Partners Inc and Signify Health. He currently serves as the American College of Surgeons (ACS) advisor to the AMA/RUC (Relative Value Update) Committee, which is major voice for physician valuation. He also serves as Chair of the ACS coding and reimbursement committee and has authored numerous articles and a textbook on reimbursement for surgeons.

    He completed his general surgery training at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City and fellowship training in trauma and critical care at the University of Miami.
