Analysis: Final 2019 Medicare Physician Payment and Quality Reporting Changes
On Nov. 1, 2018, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) finalized the 2019 Physician Fee Schedule (PFS), which makes changes to both Medicare physician payment and quality reporting program policies that generally take effect Jan. 1, 2019. The final rule updates the Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) and alternative payment model (APM) participation options and requirements for 2019.
